When I first started thinking about going into
the jewelry store business, I went to the Institute
of Jewelry Technology at Paris, Texas. After I
completed all the jewelry courses, my instructor
recommended that I consider extending my stay
and going through the horology school. I was
reluctant. I had already spent four years completing
my bachelor's degree at Abilene Christian
University and two years qualifying to be a
certified bench jeweler in Paris. I was tired of
school and my classmates had told me how hard
the watch school was. After a great deal of
thought, I decided to enroll in the horology
school. It was the best decision I could have
made. By the time I graduated, I had fallen
in love with watches.
Over the last ten years, I have had the
privilege of working on over 15,000 watches.
I have serviced thousands of exquisite watches
including Rolex and other brands recognized as
the finest timepieces in the world. When I
opened Ridglea Watch & Jewelry, I adopted a
policy that every person's watch was important
and that I would take great care with every watch
regardless of how much our customer had paid
for it. We have remained true to that commitment
and you have my word that we will never change.
Whether you just need a new battery for your
quartz watch or you need a new movement for a
watch that your granddad gave you, we will do
our best to meet your expectations.
I personally service most watches that are brought to the shop but from time to time I assign some work to one of the top horologists in the country. He has extensive experience with Rolex and other fine watches. Between the two of us we have almost fifty years of combined experience. This arrangement allows us to keep our service backlog to a minimum and guarantees our customers the fastest service possible. Regardless of the complexity of your watch we can perform the kind of service all customers deserve.
